Are you an innovative SME with intellectual assets or intellectual property (IP)?
Here is some GREAT news about two linked funding schemes currently available.
First, the UK IP Office’s IP Audit Scheme provides part-funding for an IP Audit, typically up to £2500 inc. VAT with a £500 contribution from you. To apply, contact your enterprise partner organisation: HIE, Scottish Enterprise, Innovate UK Edge or the Welsh Government.
Second, once your audit is complete, the brand-new IP Access Grant can provide funding to build the value in your IP by following recommendations from the IP Audit. The grant available is up to £5000 and can cover service costs including:
- Professional fees for IP services such as patent drafting
- Management and commercialisation of IP
- Licensing and franchising agreements
- IP insurance or IP valuation
- Tax relief advice
Applications are now open and the closing date is 12pm on the 31st March 2022.
Why is this such GREAT news?
This is the first time that the IP Audit scheme has been extended to cover follow on work to take your proposal to the next level and make it fly.
